Accept’s founding members to join on 50th anniversary tour?

German heavy metallers Accept have just announced that they intend to organize a 50th anniversary tour starting in late 2015 and finishing in 2016, featuring songs that they want to release in a retrospective album coming up in 2026.

It’s still a mystery if Accept‘s founding members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals) and Peter Baltes (bass) will be part of the 50th anniversary tour, but some interesting comments from Accept‘s guitarist and last remaining original member Wolf Hoffmann have been stated in a recent interview with Spanish outlet Metal Journal. The guitarist was asked if the two original members of Appect would be invited to join the band on their 50th anniversary tour. See the video of the interview below!

“Yeah, of course, of course. Doesn’t mean they’re going to say [yes]. We have to wait and see. Of course everybody, the doors are always open for anybody to join us on this, because it’s going to be retrospective of all the 50 years of Accept and whoever wants to participate is more than welcome. Yes, sure.”

For now the band is still working on touring their latest and 17th studio album “Humanoid”, that came out earlier this year. Until then and the 50th anniversary tour, you can catch Accept live in their “Full Metal Assault Tour” with KK’s Priest in America.
