The crowd at the Electric Ballroom was completely blown away by Power Trip, which was a relentless display of incredible energy. On a Thursday evening, we found ourselves completely submerged in a violent riff and an intensity that never let up. Their combination of thrash and hardcore music sounded even more explosive when they performed live, especially with songs like “Firing Squad” and “Executioner’s Tax,” known for their violent ferocity. The pit was constantly in anarchy, the band was completely engrossed, and the atmosphere was fantastic. This was a perfect example of current crossover metal. The whole performance was supported by the outstanding opening act of Inhuman Nature.
