The metal world was shocked last summer when drum virtuoso Joey Jordison, who played in Slipknot from 1995-2013, died at the age of 46.

Now, a previously unreleased interview with Jordison from 2018 has been uploaded to YouTube. The interview was conducted in Denmark.

Among other things, the interviewer asks Jordison about the future of his band Sinsaenum, to which the late drummer replied:

“We don’t have to play. We could be home with our families. But the thing is, with a true musician, you do, even if you don’t want to or don’t feel like it some days — 30 seconds onstage, and you’re glad that you’re there. And you’re thankful for it.”
