A police report details Brady Ebert’s attempted murder incident involving the father of Turnstile’s lead singer

More information on the March 29th, 2026 event involving former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert and Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates’ father William Yates has surfaced, as per theprp. According to the incident’s police report, 33-year-old Ebert drove up to William’s home in the Silver Spring, Maryland neighborhood and started blowing his horn and yelling profanities at William’s daughter, her husband, and their kids. The police complaint, which cites a neighbor’s surveillance film, claims that William came down the driveway in an apparent attempt to wave off Ebert after he was observed acting violently from his car toward the couple and their kids.

William is claimed to have stepped back to escape being struck when Ebert swerved toward him in his automobile. Then, according to reports, William threw a rock that he had picked up from the driveway at Ebert’s Buick LeSabre, hitting the rear door. This apparently led to Brady reversing the vehicle and then speeding in William’s direction, hitting him as he tried to avoid being struck. Ebert’s activities occurred in close proximity to Williams’ daughter and her 3-year-old son, according to the report. According to authorities, Ebert later returned to the scene while William was hurt and awaiting medical attention, telling him he “deserved it,” according to early reports from the local media.

Ebert later texted his father to request $200 for a friend’s bus ticket, according to the police report. The Yates family claims that Ebert’s most recent episode was just one of several increasingly antagonistic encounters that had taken place over the previous month. On March 13, 2026, Ebert was accused of pulling up close to William and yelling profanities at him. Ebert allegedly did a three-point turn and swerved at William during that encounter, giving him the finger. Ebert is accused of driving over to the Yates residence a few days later and yelling profanities at William’s wife and her friend.
