The forthcoming biographical film about the life of the late heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne is still in the development phase, as per theprp. An update regarding the project was recently provided by Ozzy‘s son Jack during a segment on SiriusXM’s ‘Influenced With Billy Morrison’. Jack disclosed that an actor has been cast to portray the iconic figure, the Prince of Darkness, although the identity has not been publicly revealed. The film has also appointed a director and is currently in the process of a script revision.

Jack Osbourne: We are in full steam into the next phase of development with his movie.

Billy Morrison: So that’s the biopic. That’s an acted-

Jack: Yes. That’s an acted movie that Sony Studios, we’ve been developing with Sony Studios for like six years already.

Billy: What did your dad think when he was alive about that? I mean, I know he said he wanted Denzel Washington to play him.

Jack: Sadly, it’s not Denzel.

Billy: It’s not Denzel?

Jack: No, no. Listen, we have our decided pick and we’re still kind of, you know, I can’t say anything, but it’s a phenomenal, phenomenal actor, but we haven’t, I mean, we have a director attached and we’re doing a rewrite right now.

Billy: That’s really exciting. I mean, that’s up there with the, you know, Freddie Mercury one. I mean, it’s been a big deal. The Bob Dylan one, but I think doing an Ozzy one is wonderful. I think he’d get a kick out of it.

Jack: Oh, he would, and all he kept saying, I’d give him updates. Like, ‘Oh, you know, we met with this guy and this is happening,’”’ and he just would go, he goes, ‘“’I don’t give a shit. Just tell me when it’s out so I can go see it.’”
