A five-part documentary on Kiss‘s ultimate tour is currently in production. Using a picture of his wife Erin being interviewed for the show, Paul Stanley shared the news on social media.
The End of the Road tour began on January 31, 2019, and it ended almost four years later with two sold-out performances at Madison Square Garden in New York in December 2023. Despite having to postpone dozens of gigs because of the COVID-19 outbreak, Kiss performed 250 shows in total. Two of the tour’s concerts were broadcast as pay-per-view events. A limited audience watched the band’s Kiss 2020 Goodbye concert from Dubai on New Year’s Eve 2020 from the balconies of socially isolated hotel rooms. Additionally, the tour’s last performance was broadcast live on PPV. The tour has not yet produced any live albums or home videos, and there is no information on the publication date or location of the five-part documentary. Kiss is also working on a holographic spectacle in the vein of ABBA. At the conclusion of their farewell Madison Square Garden Concert, they unveiled an early version of the digital avatars they would employ. Stanley recently stated that it would be more than a concert reproduction in an interview with Billboard’s Behind the Setlist.
The idea of a simulated concert is not what we wanna do. Frankly, I would find that boring. What we’re creating is an immersive experience that Kiss fans will love and people who have never been exposed to Kiss or might not like certain aspects of the band will have to see.
