Kenneth Hunter, who formed 96 Bitter Beings alongside frontman Deron Miller (CKY, World Under Blood) left to focus on metal band Mainstream Scare, citing issues with Millers behavior and drug use, noting that working on new Mainstream Scare material was eye opening and a calling to true potential.
Mainstream Scare was formed in 2009 by Hunter and quickly caught fire after the bands debut EP “Seven” was featured in Metal Mulisha’s iconic freestyle motocross videos, launching them into wide underground recognition and landing them spots on large stages, tour packages and festival lineups.
Momentum continued with the release of their follow-up EP “For The Record” (2012), which cracked the top 100 on iTunes during its first week—solidifying their growing audience and garnering interest from record labels like Sumerian and Fearless.
During a lineup change, Mainstream Scare featured members of Trapt, and Movements (Fearless Records) on rhythm guitar and drums, respectively.
In 2014 the band went on hiatus when Hunter and Miller met to form 96 Bitter Beings, leaving fans of Mainstream Scare wondering what could have been.
Hunter’s return to Mainstream Scare has brought the creation of a long-awaited full-length album which is set to release fall of 2025. Leading the charge is the powerful new single and music video ‘Alone’ – marking a bold new chapter in the band’s legacy and showcasing the undeniable raw power possessed by the band.
