New Jersey’s nu-metal outfit 40 Below Summer is gearing up to drop their first full-length studio album since 2015. Titled “Untethered”, it’s scheduled for release on October 10 through Follow The Sun Records.
So far the band has shared two singles from the record: “King Ghidorah” and “Darkside”. A vinyl edition is in the works, and fans will have a chance to purchase it at the band’s October 11 25th-anniversary concert at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey.
That anniversary show will bring together 40 Below Summer’s original lineup for a reunion performance, alongside a conventional set from the band’s present roster. The band also recently shot a music video for another upcoming single, with more details expected soon.
Formed in 1998, the band has operated under various lineups over the years and released their previous studio album, “Transmission Infrared,” in 2015. Their upcoming release marks a major comeback following a long hiatus from full-scale album output.
