Pittsburgh’s metalcore outfit 156/Silence have signed with Pure Noise Records and released a new single called “Our Parting Ways”, along with an official video directed by Errick Easterday. The track had already appeared in their live sets before its official premiere, marking a strong new start for the band under their new label.
In their announcement, the group mentioned that Pure Noise has long been a label they admired, and the collaboration felt natural thanks to the support and enthusiasm the label has shown. Lyrically, “Our Parting Ways” dives into themes of loss, memory, and transitions, reflecting on how the things left behind still carry meaning and grace.
The single runs a little under four minutes, blending emotional weight with the band’s sharp and modern metalcore sound. Easterday’s music video adds an atmospheric visual edge that enhances the song’s intensity.
This new chapter follows a challenging period for 156/Silence, as the band lost bassist Lukas Booker earlier this year but chose to continue performing and creating in his memory. Their most recent album, “People Watching,” came out in 2024 and marked a solid step forward for their evolving sound.
The band has a packed touring schedule for the rest of 2025 and is currently on the road across North America with Counterparts, Thrown, and Split Chain until October 26. Just days after that run, they’ll join Fit For A King, Make Them Suffer, Spite, and Currents starting October 30 to close out the year. Spring 2026 will see 156/Silence head for their first European & UK tour, reuniting with Fit For A King alongside Memphis May Fire and Acres.
