Norwegian black metal outfit 1349 has announced a new live album titled “Winter Mass,” scheduled for release on November 28 via Season of Mist. The recording captures a concert held on November 20, 2021, at Oslo’s Parkteatret.

To promote the upcoming release, the band published a performance video of “I Am Abomination”, a staple from their 2005 album “Hellfire,” demonstrating how the song still crackles with ferocity.

The album’s artwork is credited to Norwegian artist Kim Diaz Holm, who has followed the band for over a decade, documenting their live shows and contributing visual elements to their merchandise. His imagery for “Winter Mass” is said to capture the band’s raw stage energy.

“Winter Mass” will be available in multiple formats, including digital download, CD digipack, and two versions of gatefold vinyl (black and multicolored splatter), each accompanied by a poster.

1349 formed in 1997 in Oslo and have remained a consistent force in extreme metal, known for their uncompromising sound and intense live presence.
