“Rough and Rowdy Ways 2024 European tour” announced by Bob Dylan will not allow cameras or phones

Bob Dylan will return to Europe in November for a 28-date extension of his “Rough and Rowdy Tour.” The renowned folk-rock hero will begin the European leg of the tour at the O2 Universum in Prague, Czech Republic, while UK concerts will follow on November 1st at Bournemouth’s Windsor Hall. Dylan will conclude his tour with three performances in London’s Royal Albert Hall, over 50 years after his debut appearance at the iconic venue. Dylan will also return to Edinburgh for his first gig since 2009.

Dylan‘s performance time will be 7.30 pm, with the exception of his shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall, which will start at 8 pm. The gigs are being promoted in collaboration with technology company Yondr, which will prevent the use of cameras and mobile phones during the performances. Ticket holders’ devices will be placed in protective pouches that will remain locked throughout the show, but fans will be able to use them at any moment by stepping outside the phone-free zone. Dylan recently finished a run of shows with Wilie Nelson‘s touring Outlaw Music Festival, and the second phase of the “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour begins on July 29 at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, California. Last week, Dylan revealed a 27-CD box set of live recordings from The Band’s 1974 arena tour. The 1974 Live Recordings will be released on September 20 and include 431 songs, 417 of which were previously unavailable.
